[comp.sys.apollo] Is it possible to run C-Kermit on ttyp's?

lau@kings.wharton.upenn.edu (Yan K. Lau) (02/05/90)

We have C-Kermit installed in our Apollos and wonder if it's possible
to do the following. We would like to telnet to the Apollos from
another machine and be able to directly download files to our PCs.
Our Apollos do not have any dial-in lines so we can't use the
/dev/sio lines. I noticed that when I telnet in, ps tells me that
I'm attached to /dev/ttyp0. However, when I tried to set line
/dev/ttyp0, I get the following:

/dev/ttyp0: Not a typewriter
Sorry, can't open line: Not a typewriter

It's been some time since I've installed it so we may not have the
latest version of C-Kermit.
