[comp.sys.apollo] troubles with diskless nodes/rrn

Recently, I have witnessed a strange behavior of our diskless 
nodes: 
We can run rrn on all the disk-nodes, but the same binaries break on
diskless workstations of the same type with the message 
'Caught a SIGSEGV--.newsrc restored'
Any explanations?
