If anyone has anything they'd like to share or knows of any such tools, please drop me a note at email address. shane@hpfcdm.hp.com Thanks! ---------- Thanks to all who have responded to my request for performance measurement tools. Looking over the responses though I thought further clarification of what I need may be helpful. I do know about dpak; however, I don't think it provides the type and granularity of information for which I am looking. I need tools and/or system calls that will allow me to characterize system performance at the operating system level. This would include such information as the time the system spends in user mode and kernel mode; LAN activity such as packets in and out, collisions, etc.; NFS activity; device I/O activity such as bytes in and out, queue lengths at the device driver, etc.; and information concerning the interaction of a client/server in a diskless cluster. In addition, I need this type of information at both a system level and on a per process basis. So, if anyone knows of any functionality buried within the Domain OS other than dpak that allows such performance characterization, please let me know! Thanks again! Shane Fazzio
