Question .... Is it ok to run two print servers on one node? One being a post script printer using the postsc driver (from /sys/hardcopy/drivers ) and the other printer being an old epson mx80 dot matrix printer , probably using the genicom driver. Basically, I plan to run the laser off of sio1 for example and the epson off of sio2 with the appropriate config files etc. Will there be "two" seperate prsvr processes ? Any problems with this. Thanks in advance Bob Shaw Texas Instruments bshaw@vlsic2.csc.ti.com

Yes, it should be ok. You will have to run two copies of prsvr, each started with it's own configuration file specifing different I/O lines and the driver name. You will also need to give a unique printer name in each of the config files unless you want the printers to both service files out of the same queue on a first-come first-served basis. -- David Krowitz krowitz@richter.mit.edu (18.83.0.109) krowitz%richter.mit.edu@eddie.mit.edu krowitz%richter.mit.edu@mitvma.bitnet (in order of decreasing preference)
