Hello, this may be a naive question, but please bear with me.. we're running 9.75 Aegis on all/most of our nodes, with eventual plans to move to 10.2.. but those days are far into the future (1/6 year maybe??) ^ should have been a 2, not a 6. sorry in the meantime, I'd like to get the ability to send and receive mail directly at our Apollo nodes.. (DN3x00s)... I've not been able to find reference to how to start the mail daemons / servers... I've got TELNET and FTP servers running already.. what more do I need?? where might I look?? etc... what prompts this is that we've recently been asked to host a RN program on our nodes.. it's a ported version of an IRIS RN program that attaches to a local news server.. this has been accomplished, and users can currently attach to and execute CSH, run the RN program and read news group feeds.. but replying to those news groups gets complicated.. since the FROM address ends up as a node which cannot receive mail.. any ideas you might have are welcomed... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * Thanks, * * Ted Fabian NASA Lewis Research Center * * Cleveland, Ohio * * * * phone: 216-433-6307 FTS 297-6307 | disclaimer: * * email: tpfabian@nasamail.nasa.gov | my opinions * * tfabian@mars.lerc.nasa.gov | are my own * - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
