Indeed it could. That was it. Thanks to all who responded!

Oh...one other thing:
>lsacl -l /usr/lib/sendmail

Is this a good idea? I have heard that the infamous sendmail 
bug is in 10.1 sendmail.

I do this:

lsacl /usr/lib/sendmail
        daemon.%.%               prwx-  setuid
        %.mail.%                 -rwx-  setgid

and make the group mail own all the sendmail files.
