I'm trying to install GnuEmacs 18.55 on a 3500 running 10.2, but am not a C programmer and can't begin to get around the following compile error... I'm using 'virgin' copies of both the 18.55 distribution and apollo-emacs 10.2/18.55 fixes, and have only modified the sed command in build-apollo-emacs to reflect a different path. All goes well until the file fileio.c where I get an error like: (2178) defsubr (&Sfile_writable_p); ...[Error #039] Improper parameter declaration "&". followed by about 7-8 more just like it (all from the file fileio.c), then compilation stops. Any ideas? ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Patrick Stickler University of Helsinki stickler@hylka.helsinki.fi (BIX: stickler) Nokia Research Center stickler@pepper.rc.nokia.fi ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
