[comp.sys.apollo] Need help with unsupported assembler for apollo..

jonasf@kuling.UUCP (Jonas "flax" Flygare) (04/09/90)

I've had the need to write some assembly-language routines
on our Apollo machines, and the only assembler we've got is
unsupported. (Read: No documentation at all..)
So: I'd need to find out how to enable the hardware options,
as it refuses to accept the FPU instructions, and it seems
(from reading 'strings' output.. ) I need to instruct the
assembler that I do have a FPU. A list of directives and flags
accepted by the assembler would be nice too... :)
Oh yes.. If anyone happens to have a 'correct' version of
setjmp/longjmp that doesn't have opinions on which way I do
the jump (on the stack) I'd be really happy, as it'd save
a lot of work for me.. :-)
Also, pointers to a disassembler will be appreciated.
(We run 10.1, will be running 10.2 soon)

For the curious: I'm trying to construct some support for
simple co-routines on the apollo, possibly to be used in
	teaching here.
Also, I'm putting together some FPU routines for my own use.
Any good advice on using the FPU like this? Or shouldn't I? :)
