Hallo! I think this question hasn't been asked, but if it had already been asked, excuse me. On OS versions 10.2 and higher Xapollo is started at boot time with the options s+r- because most people want to have standard apollo window behavior. BUT there are persons here who like to have a simple X machine and don't want to think about DM (eg. wmgr -off and xownroot -on), starting a windowmanager etc. As can be seen, the r option can be toggled by the program xownroot. So what I like to know now is: Is there a program to toggle the s option of Xapollo so that I can get a simple behavior as on a "normal" X System? The problem is, that mwm put frames around the standard DM windows (login-window etc.) and that standard DM-windows can be moved partially out of the screen by means of twm, uwm ,etc. and that they CAN't be moved back into the screen once the X-windowmanager is stopped! Even more, I always NEED one DM window to start a window-manager an xownroot etc. from! Together with the 3 bottomline windows I need to have 4 DM windows, even if I only want to use my apollo as a simple X-station. Any hints?
