Solving Minimization Problems With Simple Bounds on the
Variables''.

ABSTRACT

This talk presents recent work carried out jointly with
Ph. Toint and N.I.M. Gould. The intended general
framework is that of solving large nonlinear
programming problems. The approach is based upon a
trust region method, adapted to handle upper and lower
bounds. The extension to large problems depends upon
the idea of partial seperability.

Some preliminary numerical results will be included.
