Does anyone know what the practical limit is on the number of windows that you can have open at any one time on an apollo? I tend to work mainly on a DN4000, and most of the time it's quite happy with the load I impose on it (14+ windows); but every now and then the dm looses track of all/some of the windows - for no apparent reason. Normally, it's the shell windows that are lost. Am I asking too much, or is there something else that I am doing wrong? I don't know about the "practical" limit, but the advertised limit is 110 (50 for sr9.7 and sr10.1). At least that is what it says in /sys/help/limits.hlp anyway. Is DM taking care of any X-Windows when this problem occurs? -Kem ============================================================================= Kem Ahlers u36009@u2.ncsa.uiuc.edu (Internet) Caterpillar, Inc. u36009@ncsagate (Bitnet) Peoria, IL USA
