Patch tapes offered to us - are you kidding? We can't even get the
software we have paid for offered to us :-( We have also asked them
for patches we have seen referenced on the net (in particular streams
patches) and they haven't even heard of them in Melbourne and, as far
as we can tell, make no effort to get them for us.

Despite dozens of phone calls (most of which were never returned) and a
written complaint we still can't get them to supply us with 10.2.p and
NFS for 10.2 and some other bits and pieces or even tell us when we can
get them. We even tried submitting the lack of such software as
problem reports - all to no avail. I assume these things are available
elsewhere. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We got sick of waiting for them to deliver an exatape for a DN10000.
After months of empty promises or dead silence we cancelled the order
weeks ago and bought a SPARC+exabyte for about the same money as
Apollo/HP wanted for the exabyte alone. To top it off Apollo/HP
finally delivered an exabyte unit to us last Monday. We did not even
unpack it so I don't know if it was for a 10000 or not. It was returned
immediately.

I don't know whether our experiences are typical of the organisation as
a whole, just the Australian/Melbourne end of things or its just us
having these problems. Frankly I don't care. We just want what we
are paying for. I know local Apollo/HP people read this group. Where
is our stuff?

Murray Andrews.
