Re-Post, as Our news system wont send out properly... I am attempting to create a print server under SR10.1 for an HP LaserJet 2. I have it doing most things except for graphics from a colour screen. Questions: 1. Has this been done WELL by somebody else (it is sillye to waste my time on it if so.) 2. If not can anybody please help me!!! Details: The print server is set up so that it can accept BM1 (single bit per pixel graphic images???) These are processed by a filter (bmsc$bm1), to give what appears to be a bitmap in memory, to be handled with GPR. Obtaining a pointer into the bitmap is relatively straightforward. It I print a screen dump, all I get is the screen borders, no text. The colours DO NOT get mapped into a grey scale. If I turn my screen MONO (with the DM mono command), text comes out also, along with other gunge. The filter does not appear to magnify. The documentation for GPR and "Printing in the Aegis Environment" is terrible!!!!!! It appears that the manager information passed in the database to the render routine is not set (does not indicate GPR/IOS). I guess I want an easy answer, or a childs guide to using these things. The example programs are not specific enough! Please reply here, or E-Mail me direct.
