[comp.sys.apollo] kermit generates error: /dev/tty not a typewriter

I have compiled on a DN10000 under Domain OS 10.2
kermit version 4E(070) 29 Jan 88. When I try to run this
program in server mode it generates the error:

    /dev/tty not a typewriter


The same occurs when attempting to put it in recieve mode.


How can I get this version of kermit to work on the DN10000? Where
can I find a copy that works on the DN10000?
