How come the keys don't auto-repeat on this 10.2 DM? -Dave

My guess is that somebody has reprogramed your keyboard. At sr10.2 the keyboard is programable (not just DM key-defs, but the actual keyboard). You can change the behavior of the the keys in the keyboard (relocate the shift/control/alt/compose, control the CAPS-LOCK, enable/disable auto-repeat for selected keys, ...) Check out the "kbm" utility (/usr/apollo/bin/kbm), look at the man/help page for it. Dave Funk

Dave,

The function that you want to look at is kbm. An example in
the kbm man page shows how to set auto repeat on for all keys.

THAT was it. The defaults for 10.2 aren't the defaults for 10.1. Thanks! -Dave
