Are there any ftp sites that have available the binary version of the MIT X11R4 "borrowed" mode server? We'd like to experiment with it and see if some X based applications run faster atop it, rather than atop the SR 10.2 shared mode server. I have checked with the ADUS bulletin board, and they don't have it. It is apparently not in the ADUS Free Software Library either (where the binaries for X11R2 and X11R3 are), though I have not been able to talk with anyone at Apollo to confirm this. I certainly can build the system myself with source, and I can get access to the source without too much difficulty, but if I could stave off a couple days of work with the binary in hand, I'd be very, very happy. I am also aware that SR 10.3 is due out Real Soon Now, but since we are not a beta site, I have no information on the speedup in the new server. Nor do I know exactly when SR 10.3 will get to us (our sales representative could not tell us). If you have any suggestions, email would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Susan Liebeskind
