Hi, I'm running SR 9.7 (if it makes any difference), and frequently use a pad of my DN560 to log into other machines via emt + vt100. Is there any way to patch these to allow me to use graphiccs? For example, can I get emt to detect an escape sequence "enter graphics mode", and jump out to a graphics emulator (which I could write)? Thanx in adv. Peter (APM279L@VAXC.CC.MONASH.EDU.AU)

The graphics portion might be slow, since it'll be coming through a 9600 baud serial line. How easy would it be? Well, Apollo provides source to emt in /sys/source/emt, so you can make it accept any escape sequence you want. You can also have it start up in RAW mode instead of COOKed, re-configure the serial port at startup, or even have it invert your screen and shut down the node. :-) Seriously, good luck to you. I haven't played around with the graphics routines, though I want to eventually....
