[comp.sys.apollo] distributed make?

mike@tuvie (Inst.f.Techn.Informatik) (08/23/90)

Is there such a thing as a distributed make for Apollos?
Our workstations are normally idle for at least 50% of their cpacity,
while on the other hand if I want to make a program I have to wait
ages (Aegis ? :-) Now the Network Computing Architecture is supposed to
be able to advertise idle time on a workstatio. This I guess could be used
to ditribute making a program on the hosts with the most idle time.

Is there such a thing available? Where would I get it?

			Thanx in advance,
					mike

Both DSEE from HPollo and the Free Software Foundation's gnu make
will perform distributed makes.
