Would 4 Mb of RAM memory be enough to run the Rev 10.2 Aegis Operating System ? We are planning an upgrade from 9.7.5 to Rev 10.2, can anyone share some of their experiences and advise me about the possible pitfalls. Your help will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance. If you are planning on running the C, Fortran, or Pascal compilers, or if you are planning on running DDE (the SR10 debugger), or if you are planning on running X, get at least 8MB of RAM on your machines. 4 MB is enough to boot the machine, edit files, and read your mail. Almost anything else will cause excessive paging to the disk. -- David Krowitz krowitz@richter.mit.edu (18.83.0.109) krowitz%richter.mit.edu@eddie.mit.edu krowitz%richter.mit.edu@mitvma.bitnet (in order of decreasing preference)
