  The CLSC will once again be offering two non-credit short courses at the
University of Toronto to introduce experienced Fortran users to programming
on the Cray X-MP.

CRAY101: Introductory COS and Fortran
         February  1 -  5, 1988   9:00 - 11:00 AM
  This course covers the basic skills required to use the Cray and run
Fortran jobs on it from one of the front end stations. Participants are
expected to be current users of Fortran, and to be experienced in file
management and editing on the front end system of their choice (VAX/VMS or
VM/CMS).

CRAY102: Efficient Use of the System
         February 22 - 26, 1988   9:00 - 11:00 AM
  This course introduces the skills necessary to make efficient use of the
X-MP. Topics include vectorization, optimization, use of system libraries
and I/O optimization. Participants are expected to have completed CRAY101
or have equivalent experience.

Each course consists of five two-hour segments, run on consecutive days.
Each participant must have a Cray account and a front end account before
registering. All participants must register, since course enrollment is
