Hello, I am interested in hearing from anyone who might have ideas about, or experience with running an optical disk juke box as part of an Apollo network.. in the best case, you'll know about and have a working system you can tell me about.. in the worst case, you'll be speculating like I am.. specific helpful info (?) into our setup.. 50+ DN3x00 machines currently running Aegis 9.7 networked via 802.3 ethernet.. 1 VAX 6000-340 running DECnet on a separate physical ethernet, but bridged to the domain net.. 250+ AT class / 386 AT class PCs running Ungermann-Bass networking software UB/XNS version.. I* connections to the VAX Apollo DPCC ties between DOS Coprocessor and AEGIS in each DN 3x00.. 2 Intergraph workstations all devices (machines) EXCEPT the PCs can currently use TCP/IP to communicate with each other.. NFS software on order for the VAX, awaiting installation on the Apollos eventual goal is to share data hosted on an optical disk juke box system somewhere amongst all platforms.. hopefully, someone knows where / if such a system (w/software) might be found... thanks, Ted Fabian 216-433-6307 -- ---------------------------------------------------- Thanks, Ted Fabian NASA Lewis Research Center tfabian@falcon.lerc.nasa.gov *my opinions tfabian@mars.lerc.nasa.gov *are my own..
