I'm looking for some general help and guidance with compiling c programs from comp.sources.unix et.al. I have had no problems with some items (sc6.01 for example), but have had no luck with elm or rn. I got the news software to compile, but it does not function properly ( I can't post articles reliably, and all of the news readers show no news). I'm not a programmer by trade, and am looking for some help in what CFLAGS, which environment to use, and any other helpfull hints. We are running cc ver 6.7.m/v6.7.mpx. and OS 10.2 on DN3500's (four nodes), with all three environments available. Our default environment is sys5.3, but I'm under the impression that bsd4.3 may work better for this purpose. If there are/is a good guide book or any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks in advance; John Raffensperger, Jr. Milwaukee Cylinder (800) 334-4712 (voice) uunet!marque!dhump!mkecyl!johnr
