Bill, Would you please post a question to the net for me. We don't have news feeds working yet, and I can't wait until Ted gets back. The question should probably go to apollo.sys.misc or some other Apollo/communication related group. Here's the question: --------------------------------------------------------------- Is anyone using a dial-back modem with their Apollo systems? Our management wants to supply dial-in access to certain employees, but they are concerned about security. They asked me to investigate dial-back modems for Apollo's. I have talked to my friendly HP sales rep. He couldn't find any products except those which connect to HP machines. We have 59 Apollo 3500's using SR10.2 on Apollo token ring. We appreciate any recommendations or warnings you can send us about Apollo dial-back modem products. Please mail direct to runyan@c4west.eds.com. We don't get news feeds here yet. Summaries will be sent on request. Thanks David Runyan EDS, C4 Technology West Bellevue, WA (206) 562-4560 runyan@c4west.eds.com

However I have no idea who you should get in touch with, or even what system they are using. I believe they had to write some of the software themselves, but I'm not positive. -- Alphalpha Software, Inc. | motif-request@alphalpha.com nazgul@alphalpha.com |----------------------------------- 617/646-7703 (voice/fax) | Proline BBS: 617/641-3722 I'm not sure which upsets me more; that people are so unwilling to accept responsibility for their own actions, or that they are so eager to regulate everyone else's.
