I am trying to have my home machine (a 386/ix) login via uucp to my Apollo at work (a DN4000/SR10.2 named `asylum' below). The relevant part of my /usr/lib/uucp/Systems file looks like: asylum Any ACU 2400 3012869000 NUMBER:-\r\d-NUMBER: 66093 COMPLETE \040 login:-\040-login: thanatos word: \pmypasswd It gets all the way through the chat script (including the phone switch) to the Apollo asylum's password prompt; my 386 box responds with the password, but the Apollo doesn't seem to hear anything -- it gives no response. I've tried adding \n's and \r's to the end of `mypasswd', but nothing changes. The following Systems entry works just fine -- to another 386 box `media': media Wk1100-1000,SaSu0000-2300 ACU 2400 3014952609 ogin:-\r\d-ogin: uthanatos ssword: theirpasswd Anyone experience problems like this? Have any solutions? Thanks. -- chris@asylum.gsfc.nasa.gov, ...!uunet!asylum.gsfc.nasa.gov!chris, PITCH::CHRIS
