I have defined my f4 key as follows: kd f4 bl ke in my startup file. I have recently converted to version 10.3 of the operating system (from 10.1) on a DN4500. This may or may not be related to my problem. I use f4 to balance parentheses (very useful when writing LISP!). When I use the domain editor (ce) to edit a file, and I use f4 on a parenthesis, the cursor then jumps to the balancing parenthesis (if it exists), and comes back to 1 position to the right of where it began. Here is my problem: If the required character is not currently being displayed, and the screen must scroll to find the matching parenthesis, the cursor DOES NOT BLINK to show the character. That is, the file is paged down correctly (apparently) but there is no indication of the matching parenthesis. I am 99% sure that I used to do this successfully, when I was on 10.1. Here is my question: is there any option on the bl command, or a timing setting for the cursor blink, or SOMETHING, that will solve this problem? Thanks for your help. -- Diane MacMartin : Bell-Northern Research, Ltd : Any opinions are CAM/MCAD : P.O.
