I started responding personally to the replies I got to my question, but this soon became troublesome, so I'll be rude and make a blanket reply. For those of you who pointed out that the machine I described couldn't possibly be a dn4500, well, color me a new breed of stupid. It was, of course, a dn4000. Oh is my face red.
