I have installed DPCE (PC emulator) vers 3.4 on a 3500 under SR 10.2. I would like to connect that PC environment to the Novell Netware environment that supports students in my course. The distribution notes suggest a) that a separate Ethernet board is needed b) that Netware is, indeed, supported. No details given on how to connect DPCE to the Netware environment. I installed a WD8003 EN board configured to avoid I/O and IRQ addresses already in use. The 3500 boots up and runs fine; DPCE runs fine. I copied over the packet-driver versions of the Netware drivers we use elsewhere on real PCs. The low-level driver, WD8003.COM, runs OK but tells me it can't find the EN board at the I/O address 280h (specified in the command line); I have triple-checked the board to be sure it's configured correctly. Without the driver, the other Netware routines fail. Has anyone worked with DPCE in a Netware environment? Are there any "tricks" to getting a standard PCXT-bus EN card to interact with the DPCE environment? Or with the 3500 in general? Thanks for any advice. David Todd hdtodd@mockingbird.wesleyan.edu
