A friend of mine has an Apollo 4xxx running sr9.7 and we're having problems getting incoming rcp's to work. We can rcp to a unix host from the apollo, but we can't seem to get the apollo to accept incoming rcp's. I've changed the /bsd*/etc/hosts.equiv, but this does not seem to help! My friend is in SanDiego (and he's got the manuals), and I'm on the east cooast, so I can't RTFM. My friend tried to RTFM, but got so confused that he gave up. My friend's apollo is embedded as part of a product he purchased and the vendor is stuck. Could some kind sole please point us to a section of the manual, that we should RTFM? Should a 'rcpserver' be running ? I've heard mention of a BSD vs SYSV TCP/IP, which should we be using? Is the s9.7 version of NFS usable with 386/ix 2.2 ? Please reply directly to me, I don't read this group very often and when I have read is all about more modern versions of Apollo Os. Thanks in advance! --------- Tan Bronson tan@Microvation.COM (or tan@bronson.UUCP) Microvation Consultants (203)-421-5061 20 Sperry Road Madison, CT 06443
