[comp.sys.apollo] Danford interface boards @ SR10.3

rtaylor@tron.UUCP (Randy Taylor) (02/26/91)

Is anyone using Danford TDI-3010 mag-tape drive interface boards
and software with SR10.3 ?

We heard from the HP/Apollo local office that there was a bug in the Danford
hardware/software that prevented use at SR10.3. Any truth to this ?

If there is a problem, does anyone know what the fix is ?

Thanks in advance for the help :-))

YES. Danford has the TDI-3010 running just fine at SR10.3.

NO. The problem in question was caused by Apollo changing the way bind works
at SR10.3. Users who were trying to re-install the TDI software onto
a node upgraded to SR10.3 were not able to bind the pmlib and kslib
libraries with the TDI routines properly.

Danford has patch for the installation procedure at SR10.3.
