I have the following problem since we have started to use SR 10.3 on our Apollo systems: When I log in on a remote machine from either a VT100 emulator or a physical terminal connected to a serial line, using crp /bsd4.3/bin/start_sh -on <machine> -me it turns out that the end-of-file character (in my case ^D) is not handled correctly (it is not recognized). Other control characters (e.g. interrupt, ^C for me) work perfectly. How can I solve this problem? Sabih H. Gerez, University of Twente, Faculty of Electr. Engineering (EL-BSC), P.O. I have observed the same behaviour and must admit that I have not yet understood it. As a bypass: ^\ (control backslash) or whatever 'stty all' claims is the 'quit' function, does the job (i.e. disconnects your crp). -- Rainer Toebbicke European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) Geneva, Switzerland rtb@cernapo.cern.ch, rtb@cernvm.cern.ch

An "exit" typed at the command line will exit crp sessions. *************************************************************************** * Charlie McGuire | INTERNET: mcguire@math.uiowa.edu * * Systems Programmer | mcguire@cs.uiowa.edu * * Computer Science Dept. | * * The University of Iowa | PHONE: (319) 335-2730 * ***************************************************************************
