Workstations by Dr. Mario Schkolnick of IBM Yorktown Heights, NY Abstract As the interface between humans and computer resources, worksta- tions are playing an increasing role in computing environments. Advances in software, semiconductor and I/O technologies are ena- bling improvements in user interfaces, providing for more in- teractivity and new modes of interaction. In this talk, we exam- ine how this increased workstation role in computing environments is being addressed through the various projects in the Worksta- tion Systems Department at the Thomas J. Watson Research Centre. DATE: Monday, May 9, 1988 TIME: 3:30 p.m. PLACE: DC 1302 Everyone is welcome. Refreshments served.
