Salvol has found a disk block that was multiply allocated, i.e. to more than one file. If it can tell which file is the real owner of a disk block using the block headers, salvol will leave the file intact and set the VTOCE trouble flag for all other files that claim to own the block. Each of those files will have the disk block removed from their file map. The only way to recover the file(s) is to manually fix it. To see if the flag is set, do an: $ /com/ld -a A "T" in the "attr" column indicates the trouble flag is set. Hope this helps. Ahmet Ertem.
