Well apparently lint went away with 10.3. It dies after numerous sputterings about undefined structures and unions in **STDIO.H** of all places. Makes it kind of hard to run it through most C programs. I called the Response Center and they verified that it worked under 10.2 and is broken under 10.3 and set up a APR. (#7cf2408d0, if you are dying to know.) Who knows when it will be fixed. Now, I know that lint is of dubious value, but it does do some good for some of my pitiful hacks. My question is, does anybody have a usable lint under 10.3? Does the FSF have a version that is HPollo campatable? Any others? Simple enquiring minds want to know! I wonder if your problem is not as much lint as the new
ANSI-compatible header files. Using 10.3 lint, I successfully
lint'ed stdio.h on a 10.2 node, but had the problems you
described on a 10.3 node. (Clarification - I ran everything
ON a 10.3 node; using first a 10.2 stdio.h, then a 10.3
stdio.h).
You might try using the old header file.
