We have just upgraded our dn10000 to a 80 plane VS unit. The first thing I noticed was the very small fonts that are loaded by default on the 1280 x 1024 monitor. My DM competence is minimal, but I did an "fl" on the /sys/dm/fonts/std.color fonts in startup_login.1280color, and now the fonts size within the pads is acceptable. But...the fonts in the DM command window at the bottom are still the small ones. I tried to do the same fl in /sys/node_data/startup before the DM window is created, but this didn't help. How do you do this? Andrew Wescott University of Houston Department of Chemical Engineering

Thanks to all who tried to answer my questions about loading new fonts in the DM command: windows. The correct method is to 'crl /sys/dm/fonts/std.display_type /sys/dm/fonts/your_favorite_font'. A word of caution: only the f* fonts work properly with the ksh. The fl command does not work with these special windows. Of course you must restart the DM for changes to take effect. -- Carlson Peters (213) 481-7898 elroy.jpl.nasa.gov!ladwp!carlson
