How much effort is required to get X windows Release 4 running on Apollos? We already have Release 3 - but I am finding that many of the programs I want to use need R4. I have d/loaded the distribution tapes and have had a couple of attempts at 'making' it - always crapping out after about 3 hours! Should R4 compile/install cleaning after making the config. changes or is there somthing else I need to know? I haven't had that much experience installing s/w so any advice would be helpful!
