[comp.sys.apollo] Apollo ftp stuff moved from dabo to pisa

rees@pisa.citi.umich.edu (Jim Rees) (05/23/91)

Summer is here in Ann Arbor. Porch swings, canoe trips, the roof deck at
the Quality Bar. The hot weather and the warm sunlight streaming through
the windows of my third floor office at the old Argus camera factory has
raised the temperature in my office to the point where I've decided to
switch off one of my Apollo nodes. So all the stuff that you may have been
getting by ftp from dabo, including the Frequently Asked Questions File, is
now available from pisa.citi.umich.edu instead.

If you haven't seen it, I recommend you fetch a copy of the Frequently Asked
Questions File. It's a sort of Greatest Hits of comp.sys.apollo.

The files haven't actually moved, they're still sitting on an AFS server
somewhere deep in the bowels of the Argus building, where the biology
department used to breed frogs when I was a kid. If you've got AFS you can
dispense with ftp and get at the files directly, in the directory
/afs/umich.edu/user/r/e/rees/ftp .

Is it time to go to the Washtenaw Dairy for ice cream yet?
