[comp.sys.apollo] HP Apollo Series 700

AUGUSTO%ICE.GE.CNR.IT@ICNUCEVM.CNUCE.CNR.IT (Augusto Chioccariello) (05/23/91)

I'm just back from an official HP presentation of the series 700.
When I asked what an old Apollo user is expected to do, the offical
answer was: "Be patient and wait for OSF1, will be available before
the end of this year"

IBIWISI! (I'llbelieveitwhenIseeit)

And will that be sufficient?
Will we be able to hook Domain nodes into it?
Will it really work?
Will it be on time?
Will Domain software run on it? (ftn, pas, cc, DSEE, dialog, ...)
Will 3rd party software run on it?
Why do Apollo people have to wait, and HP-UX people not?

Sorry, I'm ranting and raving.... These are all in the USENET letter that'll
be going to HP management. If you haven't sent a signature, please consider it.
(Please read the letter first, though).

"This has been a shameless plug for the USENET Letter association." :-)
