We are attempting to transfer our newsfeed from a site that we call to a site which calls us. Therefore we are attempting to set up a dialin uucp connection using Telebit T2500 modems at 19200 baud on tty02. The local system is a DN3500 running 10.3 using one of the Apollo 3 serial ports out of 1 adaptor. The problem we are having is that the getty process keeps spawning the login process when the modem is not off-hook (No connection, no one dialing in) and the RD and SD lights on the Telebit flicker almost continously apparently stopping only for brief periods when the login process times out. I can't determine if the problem is with HP/Apollo support of /dev/tty02 or that perhaps I do not have the Telebit configured properly. Should I use /dev/tty01 or one of the sio devices ? Any hints ????
