This is a common problem with the centronics interface. Not all devices drive
all of the status lines or perform handshaking in the same way. In your case
the printer does not drive the paper empty line or drives it in some *non-standard*
way. The solution is to edit the pio1.conf file, setting paper empty to ignore :
     PE:IGNORE

If the print server reports another error, such as Peripheral Offline, check the online
setting, and if that is true, set OL to ignore also. The same applies for the fault
(FT) status line.
