[comp.sys.apollo] questions for HP at ADUS

daeltoft@icaen.uiowa.edu (Doug Eltoft) (06/29/91)

As someone that will be attending the ADUS conference starting August
4th, I am willing to collect input from the net and discuss it with HP
at the conference. Questions for HP might be in the areas of service,
marketing, hardware plans, software applications, operating systems (
including Domain/OS, OSF, HP-UX ) or whatever. I am also interested
in suggestions in any of these areas for HP or ways that you feel they
can fix or improve a product or the way they do business but you must
be specific. Please do not send me sob stories as I have enough of my
own. I prefer concise, precise, and lucid questions and suggestions.
A good system administrator should be able to understand these with
out narration from the author. I have a copy of John's open letter to
HP and the response so sending that to me would be redundant. I have
been in the trenches for six years and we own two full up dn10ks and a
lot of old equipment so I know the issues.

I will collect whatever responses I receive and if I can get to it
repost a summary on the net before ADUS. I must have all input to me
by the last Monday in July. Include your telephone number if you
would be willing to discuss your submittal with HP. After ADUS I will
post my feeble attempt at explaining HP's responses or comments. As a
reference point please let me know if you are an ADUS member and any
comments that you might have WRT ADUS. I promise not to sell these
names to an encyclopedia salesman. Direct mail is preferred unless
you feel that a net discussion would improve the question/comment.
