I'm told there aren't a lot of sites around but ... Is anybody running Ingres 6.2 on DN10000? Successfully? Scene: Students are running various ingres tools to develop simple, small database applications. There are a maximum of 16 users on at a time running off 1 ingres/net server. Front and backends are running on the same machine. We have 2 cpu's and 32Mbyte of memory. Problem: I get a lot of localhost connections hanging about with FIN_WAIT, CLOSE_WAIT status showing up in netstat -a output, and finally TCP/IP will often hang completely. I have verified that TCP/IP isn't hanging if ingres isn't running (ie. after the ingres server has been shut down).
