I second the suggestion to get a hold of Ron Parson's
material. I have had the pleasure of listening to several of his
talks in addition to presenting our performance results, findings,
speculations, etc to him. We've had several one-on-one meetings and
all have been exceptional. If Sequent could package Ron Parson and
his talks on a tape, and then sell it to customers, it would be the
best investment they ever made. An hour of listening to Ron Parson's
will save any multi-processor user many weeks of effort trying to
figure out what may be happening in the system (note I don't restrict
it only to Sequent systems). Ron presents material in a clear,
concise, and humorous fashion. Frankly, I'm surprised some other
computer company hasn't made him an "offer he can't refuse." Of
course, Sequent may already have done that.

Enjoy,
