[comp.sys.sequent] Shared mems & sockets in single pgm

paul@bcsfse.UUCP (Paul Hardiman) (07/25/89)

Need to use shared memory as well as sockets. I noticed
that the ucb universe has SYS V IPC stuff like semaphores and
message handling, but no shared mems. They're in the
att universe.
Any ideas?
A single Unix anyone?--

Check out the mmap(2) man page. In Dynix, the System V shared-memory
interfaces are built entirely in user mode libraries on top of mmap(2).
