jdb@arp.anu.oz.au (John Barlow) (10/09/89)
I am mailing this for some friends who do not have access to USENET news.
Hopefully they will soon.
SYSTEM:
Sequent Symmetry S27 with 4 cpu's and 32 Meg memory running DYNIX 3.0.12
Morining Star SCC board {working through a}
Timeplex NP500 (X25 switch) {at 64 K baud, then into a}
Scitec MDX150 {which is believed to be a rebadged "penryl" product (?)}
PROBLEMS:
1) Morning star board reports:
"MST0: timeout" on the console
"IOXLST: not owner" in the x25 log file
this occurs after somebody has connected via x25.
2) the pad command won't allow outgoing calls:
"incorrect calling address length"
even though they specify 14 digits.
3) They need several remote printers and terminals hanging off the MDX150.
How do they set up the /etc/printcap, x25.actions, and other required files
?
Thanks for your time, John Barlow.
