We're experiencing some strange things with programs that are using the UDP protocol. (Like rwhod). We have a setup of one Balance 8000 running Dynix 2.1.1 and three Sun 3/50:s running SunOS 4.0.1. The rwhod daemon seems to be able to transit information to the Sun:s, but it refuses to receive anything from them. Could it be that Dynix's TCP/IP software doesn't understand the newer version of the broadcast address? I suppose there is a newer version of Dynix that fixes this, but is it possible to just update to the BSD 4.3 TCP/IP routines that are available from Berkeley without having a source code license? (By just compiling them and replacing the corresponding object modules in the OBJSlib.a lib.) Another strange thing: When doing a "ps aux | grep pagedaemon" we get a SZ of 3800, but on the Sun's it reports a SZ of 0 (zero). Everything seems to work correctly though, so this might be the way it's supposed to be?
