The situation: Telnetting from a Sequent (DYNIX 3.0.17.9) to another unix host. So far we've tried: - a DECSystem 5400 (Ultrix 4.1), a Sun SLC (SunOS 4.1), a MicroVax (4.3BSD-Reno), a Silicon Graphics 4D/340 (IRIX 3.3.2) and an HP 300 (More/BSD). The problem: When a lot of output is generated quickly by the remote host, the telnet session "hangs" - but only for the Ultrix, SunOS and IRIX machines. This has not observed with the BSD machines. Similar problems occur when trying to FTP a file between the Sequent and the Ultrix, SunOS and IRIX machines. We have tried *all* combinations of the machines listed above, and all of the others will talk to each other faultlessly. Which leads me to the conclusion that there is a problem with TCP on the Sequent. So... is this a known problem? Is there a patch available?
