Many thanks to those who have offered information. Again, the answers provoked more questions: From: blarson@castor.usc.edu (Bob Larson) >Peripheral Technology makes a 68008 SBC. Isn't that limited to 1Mbyte (minus rom?) >GESPAC makes some interesting looking boards based on their G-64 bus, >but they tend to advertise hundred-peice prices. (Both advertise in 68mj.) Found their ad, the $395 sounds friendly, but not much memory. I hope the backplane and peripheral cards are reasonable. >68 micro journal is a biased source of information. (They actually mentioned >Frank Hogg the other month. Does this mean the feud may be ending? I inquired about a 68 Micro Journal subscription and received a sample copy. I sent a check to subscribe, more in SPITE of what i saw than because of it. A rational person would probably doubt my sanity, to pay nearly $25 for the privilage of reading reading ads for CPI's own products: 27% of the May issue page space is ads for Data-Comp, Southeast Media, and Computer Publishing Inc., all part of the same company. No wonder they don't mention FHL. Is this really as good as it gets? I was just about to ask the address to MOTD, but luckily read the 24 May message, which had my answer. ** Next Question ** What are the best books on 68000 programming? System Design? Reletive Merits of the various busses in current use (mainly multibus and VME bus)? Is S-100 still a viable choice? advTHANXance, [dale] -------
