I expect this issue may have been beaten to death long ago, but I'm now in the market for a UNIX-PC. What I'm wondering is, aside from the obvious support issue, how do the UNIX-PC and the IBM-compatibles compare these days. For instance, how does a 6300+ with UNIX compare to a 7300? And so on. How do either of the drawing packages compare to something like the Mac as well as each other? I'd be grateful and interested in any replies or observations however high or low-level. BTW, awhile ago I saw an article response that told of someone who had access to APL source that might be hacked up to run on one of these machines. I'd appreciate that person or anyone getting back in touch regarding this. I'm dying to get my hands on an APL again. - G. Mark (still-no-catchy-nickname) Stewart ATT-BL ix1G-266 ixlpq!gms
