Actually, at least three different companies claim to have '040 cards for the 3000 (which are easier than '0[234]0 cards for the 2000) ready to ship as soon as they can get '040s. Some have been demo'd at various trade shows. Also, the early '040 specs were available while the 3000 was being designed. One of the designers claims that the only difference between the 3000 and an Amiga desiged to use an '040 is the missing '040; the 3000 hardware is set up to take advantage of the differences between the two chips. <mike
