Since I'm not a Word user and don't have any Panasonic printers I can't offer much help. Any suggestions? If there aren't any drivers available is the KX 1180 compatible with something Word has a driver for? Please reply directly and info the bboard as I am not currently a member of the list. He gave his address as P.O. Box 1603 and a phone number. But I need his e-mail address so I can ask him how to use the file in Wordperfect, i.e. if it is limited to a specific model of Laserjet. I want to use it in a HPLJIII. It is a softfont file. How can I obtain the e-mail address? Do I use review command for RPIECS, for example? Anyone have any good tips? I've seen something on the Mac, I think it's called Calendarmaker. Hi Networkers, Is there anyone who can tell me about some graphics library? I need the graphics library routines that support Macintosh-like window functions on MS-DOS for IBM PC. The required operations are as follows: Moving the position of a window. Panning the window (i.e., shifting / scrolling). Altering the size of the window. Deactivating the window. And the other window-specific I/O functions. As you know, above operations are all supported in Macintosh very consistently. So I'd like to know if there is a program which performs the above functions and if any, whether it is public-domain or not. The source code must be written by C or Assembly language or the other which is linkable with C programs. Would you tell me the package name? Where can I ftp the files? Thanks in advance. Here we have an ethernet network to connect pc's with hosts, printers and so on. Some guys are (still) using CHI-WRITER to compose math text, and they need to print it on a laser printer. We have a postscript printer (apple). Now the CHI-WRITER does not build a postscript file (.ps), but it sends directly the postscript text to the printer, assuming that the printer is DIRECTLY CONNECTED to the pc. Since this is not the case, it does not work. I need something to intercept the output to the serial port in order to build a file to be sent later to the printer. Requirements: - nondedicated server - the network should support dumb terminals, possibly driven from one of the PCs - possibility for running a networked database on the IBM PCs + dumb terminals LAN. -optimally the database would be an SQL relational database Any information about this subject will be greatly appreciated. Epson LQ-500 is a 24-pin dot-matrix printer. When using command: ESC * m n1 n2 ... data ... to select one of a number of general bit image data modes (according to the value of m, for instance: hex-density when m=40), the manual says: "Since in 24-pin mode, three bytes of data are sent for each column, (3*n) bytes of data are required. For each column, three successive bytes determine the top, middle and bottom eight set of pins respectively". Some explanations: n1 and n2 determine the number of columns of bit image data (n) which follow. The value n1 and n2 represent a 16-bit number with n1 as the low byte and n2 as the high byte. The calculation to determine the number of columns is carried out as follows. If the value of the number of columns is n: n1 is the remainder on dividing n by 256 n2 is the integer part of the division by 256. It is possible, either using the turbo pascal's GETPIXEL procedure, or using memory calculations, to know whether the individual pixel is no or off. my questions is: How to construct the 3 bytes of data for each column out of one byte data (by GETPIXEL or direct memory calculation)? Your help is much appreciated!
